DIY Washi Tape Flags

I have a simple DIY that will make you look like a rockstar at your next bake sale or family function.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary last month and I made him brownies with these adorable washi tape toppers on them. Oh, you don’t know what washi tape is? It is just a fancy name for decorative tape that you can get cheap at the dollar store. You can’t get them in any design, or in plain colors. I used a kraft paper one so I could write on them, but anything goes with these cuties.

You will need the following:

• Washi tape

• Toothpicks

That is it! All you need to do is cut a strip of washi tape, lay it tacky side up, and put a toothpick in the middle of it. Fold over the washi tape so that the toothpick is in the middle of it. Cut the washi tape to the size you want and BOOM! A cute little topper for a cupcake, or a unique way to let people know how much you love them.

I love creating tiny little touches to everything I create. I think it is always the little things that matter most, and that people tend to remember.
