DIY Thanksgiving Wine Bottles

Over the summer I crossed something off my bucket list: I went to Trader Joe’s. There isn’t one around me, so when we decided to vacation in Virginia Beach, I was thrilled that there was one close to the hotel we were staying at. Of course, I had to buy a case of wine. If you don’t know, Trader Joe’s has CHEAP wine that is actually pretty amazing.
I have some leftover wine bottles and figured I would make some cute Thanksgiving hostess gifts.
You will first want to remove the labels from the bottle. This can be easily done by soaking it in hot soapy water for about an hour. Remove the bottles and let them dry overnight.
I was going to spray paint the bottle but to be honest I ran out of time so I ended up just using some gold acrylic paint on the top of it.

I then drew out my design on a piece of paper first, and then used a gold paint pen on the bottle.

I really love how this turned out. I plan on filling the bottle with water and adding some flowers before I leave for Thanksgiving dinner. I love personal touches for hostess gifts, and who doesn’t love wine and flowers??

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family!
